These paintings are part of an ongoing project. It was borne out of a lack of accessible real birds for me to paint. I had tried various avenues to have someone pose with a bird in hand for me. I could have tried harder but then realised I should maybe adjust my expectations and appreciate what I already had around me. Though, I would still like to paint some real birds at some point :)
